At some point, I found out I was mildly comfortable with doing oldschool sweet bits here and there because some of my styling runs that way, but I still won’t ever be a pastel sweet. So there’s where I draw the line now. I’ve also done pretty well sticking with points 1) Natural Fibers and 2) things with pockets. A caveat with 2) is that I’ve sought solutions that’ll let me add pockets to a lot of coords, through corsets with pockets (Ozz On), aprons with pockets (Physical Drop in black and white, again Ozz On for a black version), HEIHEI tartan pocket harness… which opens up the floodgate of letting me get all sorts of things now, anyway…
3) Stay off prints, 4) Stay off OTT has worked out decently well.
5) Roomy sizes 6) Not TOO big has also worked mostly fine. I’ve accidentally gotten a couple pieces here and there that were too big, but they are quickly going on the selling board.
7) Tulle can die in a pit of fire has been going well, too. Tulle instantly deflates my urge to get something. Burandos, go make all the tulle you like. I won’t buy it. Please spare my wallet kek
8) Tartan addiction… lol. I … need to stop making exceptions, I’m getting saturated.
On tentative goals… Jane Marple I’ve sort of weaned off on for the most part, as actually a lot of their pieces aren’t even A-line, which is something I still want. But I’ve still picked up some things of theirs, regardless. I want more Pink House, but it’s pretty pricey.
AtePie has only since put out the Decay Gauze series in terms of pockets, so I picked up a couple of those skirts when they were on sale. That’s fine though. I’ve also resolved that I’m avoiding their poly releases anyway…
On brand list, unexpected lovelies:
-OLD Angelic Pretty (I’ve managed to get some majorly awesome old pieces of theirs)
-OLD Meta (sailor stuff, especially)
-Physical Drop (since Kato-san is old Meta anyway, lol)
-MAM (they were goated this entire time really, I just didn’t appreciate them enough)
-WireHead (or more like I went from 0 pieces to 6+ in the span of a single month, thanks to LM and physically able to get something from those kofi bloodbaths~ The creator is starting to step up her productivity though which is great!!! I will support!!!)
…BTSSB still holds strong in all cases, though. Waiting on an upcoming tartan jacket release and black kumya rucksack with pink paws… I will stalk those bloodbaths.
